This exhaustive re manufacturing process ‘from the base to spindle’ will

restore your Bridgeport to meet new machine performance specifications.

This will include:

• Replacement of the quill or j housing to return the head to the original equipment specification for quill fit.
• All head drive belts and bearings will be replaced. 
• The sliding motor and spindle pulleys will be replaced. 
• The spindle R8 collet seat will be reground on its new bearings to insure ‘as good as new’ spindle accuracy. 
• The spindle motor shaft will be inspected for wear and the motor will be replaced if required. The upper and lower clutch hubs will be inspected for engagement and will be replaced if required.
• Re-polish the 2J belt housing & refinish machine painted surfaces to match the original 'Bridgeport Gray’ factory look.

• Grinding and hand scraping of machine ways.
• Refit or replace, as required, table, saddle and knee gibs.
• Application of new chrome to knee and saddle ways.
• Replacement of X, Y and Z acme threaded screws and bearings to return the original ‘Bridgeport’ feel and lead tolerances.

• Acu-Rite DRO-203 system with .0002" resolution, bolt hole feature, available Acu-Rite DRO 3-axis to quill upgrade
• Newall DRO system with .0002" resolution, bolt hole feature. 3-axis is available.

• Upgrade to 9”x42” table size from 9”x36”.
• Retrofit new Acu-Rite MillPWR CNC control w/ factory ball screws: 2 or 3-axis w/ quill drive
• Mach-1 R8 tool change system with optional extra collet set.
• Twin 5W LED light kit, ram knuckle or dovetail mounted. 30” steel flex arms!
• Must have fabric accordion way covers for front, rear saddle and upper column way protection.
• Table top flat rubber protectors, “Lay Flat” table pads.
• Extra crating, shipping and handling, prep for shipping, if needed.
